Each session includes a mix of activities that focus on both individual development and group performance.

Short exercises to build timing, rhythm, tuning, and ensemble awareness.

Opportunities to explore soloing, arranging parts, or adding new musical ideas.

Working through chosen repertoire, section by section, focusing on accuracy, balance, and dynamics.

Learning how to listen to each other, adjust volume, and create a cohesive band sound.

Performance Skills

Practicing stage presence, confidence, and communication as a group.

Guidance from the instructor on how to improve individually and as a group.
Opportunities to play a variety of styles and genres.
Regular chances to perform together and hear progress week by week.
Three formal performances per year at our concerts, giving band members the experience of performing in front of an audience.
